To Date
The Sacred Heart Center for Peace has presently secured 30 acres of land in Cleveland, Georgia on the Foothills of the North Georgia Mountains. The Center has also acquired and completed payments on a Peace Center Retreat House also located in Cleveland. Funding comes through donations. Donors will be recognized. One dollar donations appreciated.
Goal
Construction of the Center will be done in phases as funds become available. The first phase will be the building of the Chapel in the Center.
Environment
- The Sacred Heart Center for Peace offers a serene pastoral place for spiritual renewal and reconnecting with Jesus who is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
- Ecumenical and welcoming in a Catholic setting providing people with an opportunity to respond to the Lord’s invitation, “Come away to a quiet place and rest for awhile.”
- Chapel for prayer and meditation for Eucharistic adoration, other devotions and spiritual exercises.
- Center will provide individualized rooms educating people in the Catholic faith.
Activities
- The Sacred Heart Center for Peace will provide relaxed settings for retreats, Conferences, and for personal private meditation.
- Pilgrimage trips to religious, historical, and apparition sites around the world.
- Youth retreats.
- Guest speakers for various subjects for educational/interest purposes.
- Bible studies.
